INNOPAD TAIPEI Launches Startup Recruitment, Building a Premier AI Innovation Hub

As artificial intelligence applications continue to deepen across industries—from manufacturing and healthcare to urban governance—the demand for innovative technologies and real-world implementation environments is steadily increasing. To accelerate the integration of startup technologies with industrial applications, the Department of Economic Development of the Taipei City Government is launching the “INNOPAD TAIPEI – Taipei Startup Flagship Base.” Scheduled to officially open by the end of June 2026 and is now open for applications from domestic and international AI startups established within the past 8 years, with innovative technologies and global scaling potential.
 

INNOPAD TAIPEI is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Nangang Depot Social Housing complex. It is conveniently situated near Kunyang MRT Station and Nangang Station, offering excellent transportation access and well-developed living amenities. By bridging the Neihu Technology Park and Nangang Software Park, the hub leverages strong industrial cluster advantages. Spanning approximately 5,450 square meters, the facility features co-working spaces, private offices, and multifunctional meeting rooms, providing startups with a flexible and well-equipped environment for innovation and development.
 

The base offers a one-stop soft-landing services for international startups, along with incubation and acceleration programs, resource matchmaking, international expansion support, and talent recruitment services. These mechanisms are designed to help startups connect with industry resources, establish supply chain partnerships, access diverse application scenarios, and expand into markets. The base also supports technology validation and Proof-of-Concept testing to facilitate commercialization and broader impact.
 

This recruitment round focuses on startups with strong industry expertise and advanced AI capabilities. Priority will be given to teams in 5 key forward-looking sectors:
1.    Smart Manufacturing and Robotics Applications
2.    Smart Healthcare and Health Services
3.    Smart City and Transportation Governance
4.    Enterprise AI System Integration Applications
5.    Net-Zero Technology and New Energy Development
 

The Department of Economic Development stated that selected teams will not only gain access to office space within the base but may also register their company or business address at the facility. They will benefit from mentorship resources, industry connections, entrepreneurship programs, investment matchmaking, and networking opportunities. Through physical clustering and cross-disciplinary collaboration, the program aims to enhance overall startup growth and performance.
