[TAIPEI, TAIWAN] – To promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology with industries and to create a globally competitive startup environment, the Department of Economic Development, Taipei City Government, is launching the "Taipei Startup Flagship Base Startup Accelerator Subsidy Program" for the first time this year (2026). The program openly recruits "general accelerators" and "corporate vertical accelerators" with industry expertise to join InnoPad Taipei. Selected partners are eligible for annual grants of up to NT$7 million per project. Through the injection of policy resources, the initiative aims to construct a new ecosystem for AI industry development in Taipei.

Since 2023, the Taipei City Government has been promoting the "Three Arrows for Startups" policy, continuously strengthening the entrepreneurial environment and resource integration to attract domestic and international startup teams and key partners to Taipei. InnoPad Taipei, the crucial implementation site for this policy, is scheduled to officially open in the second half of this year. In addition to providing workspaces and incubation resources, it will serve as a vital platform connecting global accelerators, venture capitalists, and large enterprises. The ultimate goal is to establish the base as the "First Stop for International Startups to Develop in Taiwan," further elevating Taipei's critical position in the Asia-Pacific innovation landscape.

This accelerator recruitment drive will focus on key AI technologies and industrial applications, targeting five forward-looking sectors: Smart Manufacturing & Robotic Applications, Smart Healthcare & Care, Smart City & Transportation Governance, Enterprise AI System Integration Applications, and Net-Zero Tech & New Energy Development. By introducing accelerators with international networks and incubation experience, the program will assist startups in connecting with industry resources, supply chain partners, and diverse application fields, thereby driving technology verification, proof-of-concept testing, and commercialization.

The Department of Economic Development further explained that, in addition to receiving subsidy funding, selected accelerators must establish a physical presence at the base. They will be provided with 10 to 20 complimentary seats for the first year, along with priority access to facility resources and international networking events. This physical presence and industrial linkage will strengthen the practical capabilities and global integration of both the accelerators and the startup teams.

Application Information: Applications are now open and will be accepted until March 23, 2026 (Monday) at 15:00 (Taiwan Standard Time).
